31.0 gr. N133 in a 6 Grendel

Here's what 31.0gr of 133 looks like in a 6 Grendel case. L-R...slow pour into a funnel, comfortable pour down the side of the funnel and just dumping it in. Sorry for the poor pic but you get the idea. With a long drop tube I think 33.0 will go. 32.5 isn't too bad. I am NOT saying that this is where I shoot it. I did shoot the 31.0gr load, behind a 66gr fb with no pressure signs in MY rifle. YMMV!! Work up all loads with caution!!

Mike, my standard load in a regular 6PPC case is 30.3 grns, weighed with a Chargemaster, behind a 68 grn bullet. It looks about the same as your 31 grn load in the 6 Grendel.

I would not have thought that 31 grns of 133 in the Grendel would have come up that far in the neck, considering the Grendel's higher capacity.

I think it depends a lot on how you pour it too. I did slow down the pour and was able to FIT 33.0 grains in the case. I'm hesitant to post much data, but 30.0 of n133 and an 80 grain bullet seems pretty mild in MY rifle..and shoots well, it seems. I also shot 32.0 gr of it with a 66 gr. bullet. It shot very well and no pressure signs in MY rifle. As usual...work all loads up carefully and start well below these loads in your rifle. Best I can tell, there is about 2 grains difference between the two cases, with n133.

My cheap chrono broke but will post some speeds hopefully next week.
