.308 Win Lapua brass...

I went and opened a new box and checked a dozen or so for you. Range is 13.8 to 15.1 but it looks like they average in the 14.5 area.

That's a pretty big spread. I have some 308 Lapua cases circa 5 years ago. I think I will check them in the morning when I get to my shop........jackie

I thought so too Jackie. This box of 308 was a month old and I cut the label on it tonight. I was somewhat shocked by the spread. I grabbed an 11 year old box of 243 lapua and checked them...14.1 to 15.1 with the majority falling with .5 of the middle. Not much better but some.

I guess with all the neck turning, I just stopped paying attention to how bad they are before they are turned. My Norma cases are a small bit better but still too much for what we pay for Lapua or Norma. Winchester is not much worse than that but I guess that is why we neck turn.
