I've done several searches here, but can't find any real useful data yet. I suppose it's probable buried in some other thread title. What I'm looking for is some starting loads and/or any pet loads for the 30x44 BR. I obtained one several years ago and I'm brushing the cob webs off and want to bring her to life again. Currently making cases from some RP - BR Rem brass I purchased many years ago.

Thanks!

What powder

do you plan to use? Sometimes you can find loads in the equipment lists of match results on the IBS site. I have been shooting two 30-44's for several years so I can help you. Email me if you like or PM me. Pete

Bullet weights & powder

Thanks gentlemen; I plan to use 30 cal bullets in the 112 to 118 gr range. I prefer a full case of powder. The barrel is a 1:16 twist. Powder choice has not yet been determined.

Thanks again.

30x44

I am having good luck with H335 and a 134 grain BiB bullet. For starters you can use published 300 savage data as the case capacity is very close and the 300 savage operates at 45 000 cups maximum pressure and your 30x44 should be safe to upwards of 60 000 cups.

I also downloaded load from a disk to get more loads for referrance. The program actually lists the 308x1.75 in the cartridge options. I am going to develope a load with the 110 grain hornady v max as soon as I get more brassm formed.
