Since I read some of your posts related to 269 zerofreeboring I've been impressed. I ordered a Bartlein 14 twist barrel, one 269 zerofreeboring reamer by Dave Kiff,Cut the barrel at 21,5 and chambered it.Due to I'm not able to get any Bruno Bt in Italy I got Cheek's double radious 66 Bt bullets.I use Jlc size die with 266 bushing.Bullet seated jammed.AOL 2.140.I tried with 29.0/29.4/29.7 of N133 but results are poor and not consistent.Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks

Change your seating depth.

No suggestions ?

I use .003 increments but others use .005. From my experience, .001 can make a difference in tune. I shoot all 30 Cal rifles so this may make a difference but I doubt that.

Choosee a load you favor. For me, that is where primers stop having round edges but some like less. I think a lot of PPC shooters shoot the Upper Node> I don't shoot PPC's but I would guess the primers don't have round edges up there. Once you have made that choice, go to varying your seating depth; worth a try, eh ?

Sometimes barrels like to have the bullets jumped( meaning seating the bullets off the lands) and sometimes quite a lot.

Good Luck. Pete

Waiting for Jackie....

You might want to try lowering your load to 28.2 and set the bullet right on the jam...forget OAL...you need a seating depth gage made from a piece of your barrel with your reamer run in until the shoulder is cut about .075 deep.
Then you can measure an empty sized hull in the gage, then seat a bullet, put it into the gage and measure again...it will give you the standoff which the bullet is holding the case out off the gage...that will be the amount of jam into the lands that your bullet will get when the bolt is closed on a loaded round...
Shoot three shot groups until you get desired results, then go to five shot groups...adjust powder in 3 click increments (Harrell's type measure)..
Adjust seating depth in .003" increments...
Cheek makes a very good bullet, you should be able to make it shoot...

Best of Luck..;)
