240 year old cam technology

A friend, a retired mechanical engineer who view that video with me said. You know if you asked a team of engineers who graduated from college a couple of years ago to build that doll. The committee would never be able to decide what computer program to design it on let alone build it. As cynical as it sounds he's probably right.

As an FYI the overall subject is at the core of the movie "Hugo" that was done a few years back. It was a very good movie and worth a watch. Done by Martin Scorsese.
