Hello,
I currently shoot benchrest 22lr out to 200 yards. I have got 5 shot groups of 1 inch with a 54 Anshutz and a Winchester 52 custom. I'm considering trying 1000 yard distance, now that 6mm's are so well developed and I wouldn't have to shoot a 300 mag of some sort. The closest range to me is 100 miles from my home. I also have reservations about having to get in my car a drive down the range every time I want to check my target. I would like your opinions on how long of a shot with a 22lr would be comparable to a 1000 yard shot with a centerfire rifle.
