With the berm issues we are having at ASC, I don’t think we will be shooting VFS for a while there.
With that said, NTSA has stepped up, and will now be hosting monthly VFS matches at their range.
It will be the 3rd Saturday of the month starting in March. Start at 9:00 am.
They will be running 3 different classes. Benchrest, Tactical, and Rimfire.
Benchrest shoots the 100 yard target at 100 yards.
Tactical shoots the 200 yard target at 100 yards.
Rimfire shoots the 100 yard target at 50 yards.

Cost will be $15 per match and 1st place will receive a prize
The address to NTSA is 10948 Rector Rd Sanger Texas 76266
Best entrance point is from Milam road off 35.

Will the NTSA matches be run in the same fashion as a regular Benchrest Match, that being drawing for benches and 7 or 10 minute time limit on matches, late shot penalty, etc?

I went to the last one they had last year and that seemed to be the way they ran it. Can't answer about the late shot penalty as nobody did that. Main problem I had was the sun as they could use a longer eyebrow to block the sun. Local members knew better and brought umbrellas or sheets of cardboard to block the sun.

NTSA format

Jackie,
I would assume so as every time I have shot out there, they were run just as if the match was sanctioned.
Our local shoot has grown (not as big as Tomball) but we have has 20+ folks show up for the last 6 months or so.
Plenty of guys in this area want to shoot more, and having NTSA volunteer to run these monthly matches really help North Texas SRB shooters.
