"Wood" as Jack Neary calls him won the 2 gun with an agg of .2254.
Victor Potts won LV100, Bob Scarbrough won LV200, Dudley Pierce won HV100 and DeWayne Wood won HV200.
Relatively new shooter Randy Smith shot an amazing .035 in HV100 to snatch small group from Ralph Stewart who shot a .040.
Victor Potts won LV Grand and DeWayne Wood won HV Grand.

Unlimited was the Joe Hynes show with Joe winning both unlimited aggs and obviously the grand.
Bob Scarbrough agged everyone to death and won the three gun.

40 shooters attended our NBRSA Eastern Region 3-Gun Championship this past weekend at the Holton Gun and Bow Club. Nancy and Bob Scarbrough, Jr. worked tirelessly to prepare Holton’s Range property for both the Eastern Region Championship and our NBRSA Group Nationals, which will kick-off on Monday Sept. 10th.
Shooters from many other regions arrived to find an expanded loading pavilion and numerous additional RV camper hook-ups.
Shooters were welcomed Saturday morning with heavy rains and sudden switching wind conditions to kick-off the Light Varmint 100yd aggregate.
Vic Potts mastered the tricky conditions with his first place win with a .1954” aggregate. Lloyd Miller called upon his vast skills to produce the small group of the LV100 agg. with a tiny .055” group!

After our lunch break, the rains started to subside and the winds begin to stabilize. Dudley Pierce lead the pack with a very nice little .1728” to take first place in the HV100 aggregate. New shooter, Randy Smith showed off a glimpse of his emerging solid skill set with the small group of the aggregate with a very tiny .035” group! Well done, Randy!

The Holton Gun and Bow Club hosted a tasty Spaghetti Dinner and a great dessert for the shooters. It was great to visit with our many visiting guests from other NBRSA regions, whom attended our Eastern Region Championship match to get some valuable “range time” at Holton prior to the start of our Group Nationals.
Sunday morning brought some light rain, which quickly cleared with the sun finally returning to Holton!
Top Eastern Region shooter, DeWayne Wood put on a clinic taking first place with a .1937” teen aggregate in some very tricky conditions! Bud Mundy put down a .299” group to take the small group award honors of the HV200 aggregate.

After lunch, we completed the final aggregate of the 2-Gun, with Bob Scarbrough, Jr. winning the Light Varmint 200yd. aggregate. Bob showed why he is one of the best shooters in the Eastern Region by overcoming some very challenging “Holton” conditions with a .2227” aggregate. Everyone’s good friend, Ken Hottenstein, had the small group of the aggregate with a .244” group

On Labor Day, we completed 200/100yard Unlimited Classes, the final grand aggregate of the Eastern Region Championship. Joe Hynes was a dual-winner! Joe won both the Unlimited 200yd (10-shot) aggregate carefully navigating through the mild conditions. Well done, Joe! Long time shooter, from Texas, John Jones, produced the small group of the Unlimited 200yd agg. with a fine .315” group
