135 Grain 308 Diameter Bullets

I see that Sierra has just started producing this weight. Is anyone using it? Sierra's thinking is that it might be popular for 100/200 yards. Can anyone pass along some stories?

Never used the 135 Sierra but the 135 Berger is extremely accurate in my 308. Healthy doses of Varget work really well.:D
 
135g FB bullets (BIB, Chism, T&T and a few more) have been around in HBR for years, in fact, they are out of the norm or desire now, with 117g bullets used in the 1:17 twist barrels. The 135g was great in the days of 1:15 twist barrels, I still have a few thousand 125g and 135g FB for my 1:15 HBR rifle that I have not shot since May of 2004.

41.5g N135 with 135g Chism FB won me a ton of medals back in my HBR days.

I shot 1000 yd FClass now so these light bullets are gathering dust LOL
 
Sierra has chosen to produce these using a BT. That's unusual considering that their press release mentioned short ranges. I wonder if they are hoping for the Garand people. I'm trying to figure out why they would even bother.
