1.45 barrel in a 1.50 barrel block???

I purchased a barrel block stock and was told by the owner it fit a 1.45 barrel which I ordered. Turns out is the block is 1.50. Block is steel.
Does a sleeve work as well as a 1.50 barrel would? If so what material is best? Will copper work?
I shoot short range BR unlimited class. 6ppc and 30BR.
Thanks for any info, this is new for me.

If it is a bored block they glue them in with Marine tech squeezed in with a syringe. Matt

Since it's halved, its fine that it is 1.5"
Use aluminum 1/4" by 1" halved sleeves (1 set toward each end, and 1 set in the middle)
Torque the screws from center out (like a cylinder head)

.05" is 50 mils, roughly the equivalent of 10 wraps with electrical tape (5 mil thickness on average).

Copper foil tape. I figure some careful wraps should beef up the barrel diameter while also serving as a thermal conductor. Another alternative is Aluminum foil tape.
