There was a 426 Max Wedge prior to the 426 Hemi. If memory serves me, the Max Wedge came out about 62 or 63 and Hemi a few years later.

The document I have from the Winchester Ballistic's lab showed a 52C total lock time of 2.1 and a firing pin travel time of 1.7. As a side note, they also tested a Remington 37, it was 2.1 and 1.8 respectively. Steve
