    Flash Ebert unfinished rifle

I talked to Flash on the phone a few years before he died. I asked him if he could build me a rifle in 6MM PPC. He said that he only built rifles in .22LR.

    Caldwell BR

Yes, it's a 1-12 thread and I have the Mariner wheel. I bought my rest a long time ago, that explains why the thread size in their manual is different than on my post. The thing is, why change the thread size at all? Leave it just the way it was! It would stop a lot of confusion. A common...

    Caldwell BR

I bought a 7/8-6 Acme nut and it won't fit. I got this size from the Caldwell Competition manual. There isn't a date on that manual but from the thread size, it might be an older one? I can't find my manual that came with the rest. Whether that would help me, I can't be sure. The 1-12 tap that...

    Caldwell BR

I looked through my "stuff" and found a 1-12 tap but no drill. It's cheaper for me to order the nut than to buy a drill to drill out an undersized nut. Will place an order on Ebay, 2 for $12. Yeah, I can't understand why the thread size would keep changing. It makes it confusing when trying to...

    Caldwell BR

I found my screw pitch gauges and it's 12. So it's 1-12 thread. The only size nut that I didn't try at the store only because they didn't have any. Why is there such a wide range of tread sizes on the same type of model rests. If i ordered a wheel from Cladwell, who knows what size I'll get. I...

    Caldwell BR

I have a Caldwell BR Competition rest and I'm trying to determine the ram/post thread size. Caldwell manual shows that it's a 7/8-6 Acme thread but it's not. I tried 1-8 and 1-14 but it's not it either. I thinking that it might be metric. Does anyone have any idea the thread size on this...

Question Regarding K&M Neck Turning Tool

I trim for the 6PPC and the tool trims both the outside and inside. The inside trimming eliminates the so called "donut hole". I started taking 220 Russian brass and trimming them down and fire forming them in my rifle. Now, they make 6PPC brass. I wish that they made them before I started with...

The 3 dimensionality of wind shows how young we are in the progress of measuring it

It's constantly changing in every direction. You can figure out the wind all day long but when the bullet leaves the barrel, anything can and will happen. Shoot the best that you can and live with it. Less stress that way.

    What's the best digital scale

The whole charge master unit has too big of a foot print for me. I have a limited area for reloading so I use the Gem Pro 250.

    Early Turbo PPC actions

I talked to Flash a long time ago and asked if he planned on making a centerfire 6 PPC. He said no. I have only seen rimfire Turbo's.

    Magnetospeed Barrel Mounted Chronograph

This unit(s) sounds really good. I can then get rid of my old Chrony. Never did like the way it sets up. My son blew out the screens one time when he set it too close to the muzzle. He learned.

    Accidently mixed two different powders

I, myself, wouldn't chance it. It's not worth the cost of the gun and any injuries that might happen. Toss it out and be done with it.

Front rest for sighting in use/load testing/prarie dog use with hunting rifles

A rest is good for off the bench target shooting but for hunting use either a bi-pod or shooting sticks.
