AR15.com just banned from the internet

They used "divide and conquer" along with owning vast majority of the media to get where they are. If you think they won't do the same to gun owners you are extremely naive. The AR platform in a rifle always seemed awkward to shoot for me but its a great platform for someone who likes to...

    Insult to Injury:

USPS signature required is meaningless at present. The postman signs for you and leaves the package so there is no danger of spreading Covid. He may or may not knock on the door before going on about his deliveries.

NASCAR moving left on gun rights

NASCAR started their (off track) left turn several years ago when France III kowtowed to Jesse Jackson to the tune of $250,000 cash and the Drive to Diversity programs. Didn't know they were still in business.

    False rumors on the net!!

Thanks for posting that Butch. I recently received an email stating that Soros was buying up gun manufacturing businesses. Glad to hear that that is not true.

    Agenda Items

An outsiders opinion: If you want to grow the sport, keep the rules as consistent from year to year as you possibly can. Rules creep has destroyed many organized sports associations.

The above suggestion for getting at least a mill/drill with R8 spindle is good advice. Check out Wholesale Tool. They have some nice mill/drill units at good prices.

    Good .308 Load

39 grains of 4064 or 43 grains of 748 with 168 gr Sierra HPBT Match at 1.925 OAL are mild loads that have always worked well for me in a variety of 308's. Those loads in rifles with good barrels, bedding, and triggers (but not dedicated benchrest rifles) have produced many 5 shot groups for me...

    Reduced load blow-up's

Yes. I had a 357 mag revolver blow the cylinder apart and bend the topstrap using STAR reloads. STAR was not a major player compared to Winchester, Remington, etc but they used to be a major source of reloaded pistol ammo in the Indianapolis area. I don't know if they are still in business or...

Bush 40X? What dia, & pitch?

Douglas, not being a smart axx, but if you read page 97 through 100 of the book you published, you will have the answer. And by the way, thank you for publishing it. Bill

My problem with the "parallel node"

I believe Beau did tell you plain and clear when he said: "Show me match results only. When you start turning ARA scores over 2000 average and IR scores with a significant number of 250's, I'll start to sit up and take notice. I'm not saying at all that your research and analysis is not...

    Tuners Spinning Out Of Control

    Tuner expert interpreter...Lynn equivalent

Martin, you obviously have no machining experience or you would have understood Calfee's explanation of why it is difficult to thread an Anschutz action to BENCHREST standards. You obviously have little or no understanding of physics or how physical laws are established or you would know the...

    usairriflebenchrest.com

Using 82 feet versus 75 feet produces a 9% difference. Granted, that's not much, but it is enough to make direct comparisons between scores shot at 25 yards versus those shot at 25 meters apples and oranges. Looks like the Unlimited class will be a .place for the big bores to shine.

Are there any caliber restrictions? I didn't see any under the "rules" section. Also, couldn't the meters target be scaled to a yards equivalent to solve the meters/yards problem. I was told that the NRA A-50 smallbore 3P target is a 50 meter target scaled for the more common US 50 yard ranges.

Went target shooting today and guess what?

In populated areas, deer have become used to human scent. We live 30 blocks from the center of Indianapolis and two years ago a doe and her two fawns visited our apple tree regularly as long as the apples lasted. The apple tree is about 20 yards from our house.
