    Thank you elmer!

Well, Im pretty sure you know the answer but how to do it? Wilbur fought against it but even he was not successful. Got to have strong forum bosses.

    Thank you elmer!

I said they "got run off', not they run off. When those that are on the cutting edge come to visit and then offer some knowledge, they are too often subjected to badgering from the self appointed forum bosses and they just don't have the time for that horseshit. A little harsh but you asked.

He was a great man in my eyes. Damn I'm gonna miss him. But not to worry Brady will welcome home.

    barrels

Quick story I got lucky and got a few great barrels in a row. Norman Jones from Tenn was shooting at the time, he was always coming in near the bottom, I asked how many rounds does your barrel have, he said about 5,000. I told him I had a couple of barrels that were shooting pretty good and...

    barrels

We really appreciate you sharing your efforts. Many of us have tried and failed to find the answer, spent much money and many hours and sometimes we think we have it figured out but then find we were wrong again. LOL

    barrels

Oliver88 Thank you for sharing that information. In your test with the three bar stock blanks ring test, do the the three blanks all ring the same prior to stress relief? Do all three of the test blanks weigh exactly the same after cutting to length?

    Scope checker question

I agree with Jim, both the same power, put one dot on top of the other scopes dot, but what if they don't stay on top of each other? Well that's when your glad you got good friends that have a good scope. But at least you know you have a problem and can start figuring it out.

    Watching Wind Flags

For me, thats pretty much it as to the flags. And as to the shooting flyers, that can also be a complicated part of the story. Only way I know to start to get out of that ditch fast is to start eliminating things, first the question is it you or your equipment. Fastest way to do that is...

Guarantee if you go to a benchrest match they will help you, they will let you shoot their guns, (not all will of course) and might even sell you one of their guns after you shoot it. These are a great bunch of guys, but you have to engage with them, most are quite and shy. That makes them seem...

    spammers on the loooose

Not really following what you mean. A referee is to keep things in order without interjecting your personal bias against anyone. When you make a call, you make it known, you don't hide from it.

When I was first appointed a match referee by Wilbur, a friend told me, don't go looking for trouble, trouble will find you.
