    With out a shoulder for the Louisville Slugger Baseball Bat knob to butt up against the handle will break at the threads. Adding weight to the handle is the worst option.

    There is a reason that one has to be certified to silver braze aircraft or submarine parts. Cadmium is your friend when it comes to silver brazing. Epoxy would have been your best bet.
