Someone is or was confused how to proceed to finish the task!!
Primary Extraction Timing is slightly better than any run of the mill Remington.
.080" out of Time radially.
2 each #6-40tpi screws to attach the bolt handle.
$1500 Custom from OKC,OK.
If the contractor was smart enough to bed the radiant slab "wersbo" tubing in sand under the slab rather than in the concrete, anchoring issues would not exist.
OP,
Read,Heed & Comprehend-
clicked & pasted for the snowflake-
The recall removed the excess clear fingernail polish, was reapplied & a prick punch mark was applied/centered into the bolt release lever tab.
The main reason parting is shunned-
Most have an issue grinding the parting tool correctly & feed/speed is not correct inducing said heat.
To each their own.
Work smarter,not harder!
Mram10,
Do you have the slightest clue or do you just watch You Tuber Vid's to increase your IQ?
TactiKool & Remage Nut jobs will be all over this.BS.
I personally wouldn't waste my time or monies.
OP,
Have your friend purchase & install a Trigger Tech trigger group in his/her Rem 700.
Thank Me later.
Rem X Mark & X Mark Pro trigger groups are MIM'd JUNK & should be removed from the action & placed under an accelerated 4Lb drilling hammer to take them out of service.
The recall removed...
Mike,
DO NOT run breech clearance closer than .015"or barrel heat expansion will bind up the coned bolt nose into the 120 degree included angle of the barrel breech.
Been there...once on one of my McM 50BMG DBM Repeaters.
WOW
So,1 shooting range & 1 gun shop were closed by order of a POS Gov Cuomo?
Why do you people put up with the never ending B.S. & taxed to death to fund their agenda?
I would venture any amount of money that NORAD has a totally different count.
If,the FAA could have kept track of 4 heavies, thousands would still be alive & 2 Towers would still be standing...today.
They bend & break when turned straight.
There is/was a reason the firing pin had a taper from the stop shoulder to the tip.
Mram10,
Thank you. I was considering a sleeve and use the oem firing pin. Your way sounds easier.
Order a D.Holland oversize pin & ream the breech face for a few...
Twisted/stranded wire would be my choice for the optimum bolt action mainspring...aka Swiss/German recoil springs in pistols.
Greased/oiled to eliminate corrosion/friction issues,it would last 1/2 a life time.
OP,
ream/install an oversize f/pin w/ .003" clearance to give you option(s).
A word of caution-
Do Not dry fire a 1/16" diameter f/pin.
There is also the venturi effect going from a .075" diameter to .062" diameter pin if one blanks/pierces a primer.
Only 1 point that matters while shooting 1000 yards-
EVERYTHING!!
20fps variation from shot to shot will NOT hold you in the 10" X ring at 1000yds.
Single digit ES are required, now call & dope the conditions.
OP,
Until you get proficient w/ brazing-
Wire will be easier than ribbon.
Keep the torch in constant motion.
IF,the edge of the flux turns black...stop...let cool & manually remove the flux & start over.
