IBS long range front bag rule queston

Roger, It really doesn't matter the IBS board of directors doesn't follow the rule book anyway even when it is very clear. The 1000 yard Nationals were awarded to White Horse again this year which is a clear violation of Rule VII) 3) National Events and Special Shoots a) A National Championship...

IBS long range front bag rule queston

Dave, Did you mean more than one ounce or was the referee in violation of the IBS rules? From the IBS rule book. 5) In Tournament where the dimension factor is involved the Host Club shall provide an accurate scale, a steel rule, and a pair of calipers or micrometer having a maximum capacity...

    Hand held diesel engine

John is correct it is powered by compressed air, kind of like a steam engine. Here is one that runs on glow fuel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNPYjf1RIko&feature=related James

Can a Remington 7mmMag bolt face be bushed to 30-06?

The issue is that the way the Sako extractor is retained, it can be blown out by something as mundane as a pierced primer. Thus possibly sending the extractor down the raceway and if you are a leftie shooting a right handed rifle right into your face, possibly eye. The Lawton action uses a Sako...

    Hodgen Hybrid 100v

It isn't spherical it is an extruded double base powder but it meters well. It is much more temp sensative than H4350 so I hav'nt used it much, however it is cooler burning than H4350 so I'm considering having a go with it in my 6mm Creedmoor. I think it is very similar to RE17 but a little...

    208 amax

It may not be optimum in your rifle but .005" normally shoots very well, in fact you can get most A-max bullets to shoot well with a .005" jump. James

    Can someone with Quickload...

Charles, 338 Edge with default settings in Quickload with a 300gr Hybrid which ends up with a loaded round length of 3.6" and a 28" barrel I get 2613 fps and just overr 59.5ksi @ 114gr H20 case capacity . My guess was 2650 before running it through QL, does that sound 'in the ballpark". James

    6.5 Crredmoor

Mike, You should find joy somewhere around 41.5gr H4350 with either Fed 210 or CCI BR2 primers 140 A-max. That is by the way a Hornady factory load. I don't have a Ruger but that load shoots well in a couple different guns. James

Apologies to Midwest Benchrest, Yukon, MO

Jeff, If Dick didn't see the email how was he able to reply to Robert that he had received the email and tell him that Yukon would be "thrown into the pot" and all forwarded to you and the long range committee. You would have us believe that not you or even one of the LR committee members saw...

    New .6 rule POLL

Charles, You have it backwards. Up until now SOTY points have been based on LRM points. From the IBS rule book: 2) IBS Awards and Recognition - IBS sanctioned 1000 yard competition only. a) IBS 1000 yard shooter of the Year program and points will be determined by the Long range Committee on...

    New .6 rule POLL

Since the Long Range Marksmanship program would require an agenda item to change the points system for it, are you going to have different points for Shooter of the Year than for the Long Range Marksmanship program? I don't thnk the LR committee thought this through very well. I am sure Phillip...
