Any interest in 600yd BR in central Washington state?

I shoot at a couple different places and generally you can run 2 full relays shooting 6 targets,(3 light & 3 heavy) and be done and handing out awards by 1:00 pm, and you need a good score crew with a experienced range officer. Thats NBRSA where I compete. just my .02 on a side note...

NBRSA 600 Yard Nationals April 23,24,25,26

Al, there is usually a cluster of people camping at the range for the Nationals, there is NOT full hook-ups, there is a generator that can be run to re-charge batteries, and water spigots at some of the sites. I always bring my own generator, and hook up my water hose. I do not think...

    Leupold Comp Scopes

just a opinion, but I think that sometimes some magnification needs turned down, just to lessen the mirage. Fixed power scopes will not allow you to do this. Again, JMHO Ron Tilley

I've had great luck with the 450's, the cup on the 205's is thinner than the CCI primers. Ron Tilley

Berger 105 vld Thick vs standard

I shot the orange box 105 standard jackets yesterday at 1000 in a 6mmbr, they are as close to perfect as you can get. They shot small groups, even in the wind. I have 1000 of a lot# and am gonna look for more in the same lot# Ron Tilley

    What a group!!

who really gives a hoot whether its a capitol BR or not? and if its still benchrest.com, its still a general discussion forum, accuracy and firearms related. Is it that hard to let a guy talk of his day shooting? without testing and proving? its a old Ruger 77, old ammo, and a grandad...

    Flash hole

In my 1000 yard BR win I may have use Win brass in the Light gun. I do test hundreds of rounds per year and with the RIGHT chamber the brass becomes the least important part of the load Jerry could you go further with the RIGHT chamber? do you mean while boring the barrel or do you mean...

    Flash hole

That's exactly how I feel. If I shot the WW out of the bag, I can promise that I would have had case failures by now. lots of them split, wrinkled, and cracked. Before even looking at the primer pockets. I sorted and sent a bag back to WW a few years ago that were split, cracked and so on...

    Flash hole

Jerry, I hardly think that uniformity does not help in the end. Some round some oval flash holes, how can it not affect ignition? brass life is important don't you think? chambers and dies matched to save stretch and resizing kept to a minimum, I think for me, it eliminates some of the...

    Flash hole

Tod, I agree with Mike in part, you will have to be picky and choose your brass, get about double of what you have and you will be just fine. Remember its just production brass, not built to what we come to expect. I have spent more time sorting and picking brass for this case than...

triggers for a Weatherby or Sako

I am wondering if anyone makes aftermarket triggers for a Weatherby mark 5 or a Sako, unsure of the model of the Sako, its a sporter in .300 wsm in a factory laminated stock. If so, would they be reccomended over the factory triggers? can the factory triggers be tuned up...

    300 WSM brass

bar none, the winchester should be cheaper, but my experience you will be more discriminating with it, I bought a bunch of it and there were alot of cases that had splits running length ways with the case, lots of very rough necks and weight all over the board. I use the Norma, it is...

    Front rest question

I use the Farley, on my guns, I do not have anything over 17lbs but I am sure it would hold heavier than mine. I too am curious what competitions there are in Wyoming, being from there, I have never ran into any long range BR matches. Ron Tilley
