What size and degree dovetail cutter would I need to get in order to cut something to slide onto my BAT dovetail base?

K&M offers a Mitutoyo with a stem ground at an angle for clearance if you want to measure close to the neck/shoulder junction. Its pretty nice and accurate down to .0001". I had a decently made import that was ut as accurate as the Mitutoyo. Moral: get the best you can afford that can read down...

All the crowns on target barrels I came across have been faced square with a recess...no lapping or chamfer at bore. Sharp, clean and square.

I did not order it. I have some decent quality steel boring bars with carbide inserts from 3/8" shank up to 3/4". Will the steel shafted bars work OK? won't be taking very much off, so I don't see why they won't work.

Skeet...you can order chucking reamers in decimal sizes that should work fine from MSC or enco. Not sure of clearance, but definitely need a little clearance.
