    Shoulder bumping

Get in touch with lynwood Harrell at Harrell's Precision. They'll have you send them several fired cases, and they'll match a FL die to them. I suggest that you start over with fresh cases once you have your die, set it up to move the shoulder back between .001 & .002, and resize every firing...

Clarification of new IBS Proposal SC#4

First of all, I get to more than "a few matches a year." It is true that I don't show up every weekend, but I prefer to spend time with my family and friends. I've had years when I've shot 30+ aggs; last year was probably around 11. And, my level of participation doesn't have anything to do with...

I saw where Ron brought up SSOY points. I brought up the Precision Rifleman points. If you want to shoot two guns, shoot a light and a heavy. At least they are different. Shooting two of the same class guns is cheesy in my opinion...Simply buying a "mulligan" in what used to be a...

Apple, I'm not worried about anyone else...........If you look at my post, I said (as I've always told you) I'm not concerned with SSOY points. As for shooting better, take your own advice: Don't worry about anyone else.....especially me. Dave

    Hawkeye Borescope - recommendations?

My borescope is one of the best BR equipment purchases I've ever made. I have the 17" Hawkeye focusing model. Mine is about 9 years old, and the mirror is in pretty sad shape. I understand that the newer ones come with a much more resiliant mirror. If you get one, you ought to consider upgrading...

Clarification of new IBS Proposal SC#4

The only positive thing I believe can be attributed to shooting multiple guns in VFS is that it can push the number of competitors to the necessary 20 required to earn Precision Rifleman points. The negative side of allowing 2 or more guns of the same class to be shot is that the shooter gets a...

Clarification of new IBS Proposal SC#4

The "bang for your buck" statement refers to getting twice the shooting for the all of the costs involved in attending the event, not the entry fee. Even if they didn't charge for the second gun (and they do), the match fees are insignificant compared to travel and lodging costs, time spent...

Weird pm's, virus on the forum?

I've deleted them as they came in.........I just get 12 more, this time from Francis B. Turning the PM box off sounds like a good idea. -Dave-:)

    Muzzle brake

Hi Mike, How are you? The Vais first sets up gas flow through a set of ports that run parallel to the bore. As the bullet reaches the radial ports, the gas that vents through them collides with the gas flowing through the parallel ports. The result is very effective recoil reduction without the...

    wheeled range box?

The bigger the wheels the better. The ones on the box shown on your link will prove to be a real bear to move on gravel or soft ground. If you plan on only rolling it on pavement you should be okay. -Dave-:)

    kelbys trigger

I've heard good things about the Kelbly trigger.......But the Jewells are so good that I can't justify just replacing one to try a Kelbly. I almost can't wait until I need another BR trigger.....so I can try a Kelbly. You might be able to find folks in your area with rifles with both triggers...
