Keith I could not agree with you more. Add an ounce to the over all weight. Most scopes and wood could be used. It wouldn't have any effect on how the gun shoots. 6x Scope needs to stay for ever.

I see weight a problem quite often. It is simple to make weight. When one uses a fixed 6x scope. Not many use them anymore. Pretty easy if you use Pine or Cedar also. Palonia for for the center helps also. Will your heavier gun out shoot the lighter one?
