    W-W brass vs Hornady brass

22-250 can't find any W-W but did find some Hornady in 22-250. Weight difference was 11 grs less for the Hornady than W-W . If I load same charge I wonder what difference there will be ? 36.5 grs of Varget behind 53gr V-Max 12" twist .

Extraction problems 6/284... Finally found out what was the problem @#%&*&%#@ !!!!

Don's explanation Don's explanation sounds feasible . Dusty was I ever using incorrect brass ? Gunsmith never said" this is a W-W reamer" he cut the chamber with . When we first talked he did ask me" What brand brass, Norma or Lupua " ? I told him" lupua". I've never been able to get W-W brass...

Seating depths What difference does it make ?

Ok we all know how critical seating depths can be with various bullets ,small changes can make tremendous difference in accuracy. My question is why ? If you could fire a rifle and freeze the bullet as it exits the muzzle what distinction will be noticeable on the jacket ? If its jammed into...

Making a announcement to the entire world

Continuation of my 6/284 saga . Accuracy wise at 130 yards mild wind in NV Desert 1 1/4 group Berger and 1/2" gr for A_maxs...

Change powders or seat bullet deeper

Long story New Chamber in that last gunsmith didn't run the chamber reamer in far enough and it was a W-W reamer not one for Lupua brass. I had major extraction problems . So bbl has less than 350 rounds through it. I increase charges by .05 . No pressure signs and zero extraction problems. I...

He ran the new reamer in it.(Bullets slide in and out of fired case necks now) I loaded formerly sized brass with bullet jammed into lands with moderate powder charge(46.2grs of H4350 behind 105gr Hornady BTHP) to fire form brass to new chamber. I had no extraction problems...

Extraction problems 6/284... Finally found out what was the problem @#%&*&%#@ !!!!

W-W reamer The original gunsmith used a W-W Reamer instead of a reamer for Lupua/Norma brass . Also there was a pressure ring around the shoulder of the brass ,he found it by placing a straight edge up against the fired case that contained a moderate to hot load.
