Playing with a photo switch and powder scale

I was just curious what it would take to get one kernel accuracy. The promeythous 2 powder gets that accuracy but costs $3000 or so to lease it for 25 years and that is a little out of my budget for something I don't need. This is a video of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6scLPhkT-8w I was...

Playing with a photo switch and powder scale

I rigged a photo electric switch above the beam of my old 10-10 powder scale to see how sensitive it was. After this video I weighed a gn of powder and counted the kernels, a calculated resoultion of .02083 grains.

The very first video (on the washing machine) They were getting over done. The dwell time has to be adjusted (change the voltage) for different cases as a .458 win mag takes longer than a .17 rem. Red is way to hot from what I've learned too.

    Wireless Video Transmitters

I have a camera from here http://www.boostervision.com/. I use it on my model airplane, it's pretty cheap and works good "line of sight". I haven't tried it at 1000 yards but I know it works at 600.

I figure if I took the idea from the gentleman that came up with the brass-o-matic I’ll let him take my automation design and sell it. So, you’ll have to talk to him about a retrofit. I do have a few “saw blades” left if anyone is interested. Jgee, no more washing machine porn for you.

It now has a case feeder. http://s121.photobucket.com/albums/o213/jmorrismetal/annealer/ Is the link to the album complete with videos and photos. The first video should answer the question, does the base of the case get too hot.

    first run with the annealer

No, the "saw" part is CNC laser cut from 1/8 steel. It's the most complicated part (if any of you do it your self guys want a copy send me a pm). The one above is basically a DC motor driven copy of the brass-o-matic (as least as close as I could get from just a photo). It now is fed by a...

    first run with the annealer

I found a photo of one of these and thought it would be neat to have one. I just didn't want to spend the $480 bucks they were asking. I thought some of you guys/gals might find it interesting. Here is a video of it running a little too slow but you can get the idea...

Robert Beeman sent me this the other day. " Beeman was the exclusive importer for Krico firearms from about 1986-88. What you are referring to is the Beeman/Krico Model 340 ST Kricotronic - listed on page 961 of the 27th Ed. of the Blue Book of Gun Values for $550 in 60% of new condition to...

    Electronic .22 from the '80s

I remember back in the mid ‘80’s there was a bolt action .22 target rifle that fired electronically and used a 9 volt battery in the stock. I want to say it was made by Beman. Does anyone have any more information on this rifle?
