thanks to all who have provided meaningful replies to my post. I'm someone who fell for the "sparkling inside and out" methods and found both the tumbling or sonic cleaning much too onerous. I think I'll be going back to some of the minimalist methods.

OK, I see the numbers on the Accurate chart for 70g and 87g. I'll just extrapolate for my 80g's. I'm thinking 25.5 to start and up to maybe 28.7 max. Should have checked that chart before posting.

there were a different knobs depending on serial number. do you see pads that look like item labeled 1? If so I think you may have to remove the entire rear mount and soak it. I don't know how the earlier versions come apart. I believe mine, shown here, was of the latest variety.

I've noticed that, even on a clean bore, using Iosso bore cleaner will show black patches. It does the same thing on a spoon from my kitchen. The question is, how do you know when you've used it enough?
