Tapering a straight barrel.

Thanks Guys! Dennis, that is a really good point. I'm usually only straight contouring blanks these days, but they end up pretty thin at around .750, so chatter is a constant issue for me. It takes a while at a .020 DOC, but it still gets there with a lot less drama than the inserts I've been using. Last night however, I got a really good finish cutting the IPR in half and using a .005 DOC. So that works for me as a final pass.
