Fellas today is my 11 wedding anniversary to a very wonderful women. She pulled me up when i was way way down and i just wanted to share with all my friends (you fellas) a part of my life we dont always see or know about each other. Putting a face with our posts is something i thought you might all find interesting. Here is my wonderful family. I truly dont understand how i got so lucky. I couldnt ask for anything more. Here is a pic of myself and my family. I hope this isn't to Corney to post here, but i am proud to show you fellas my family on my 11 wedding anniversary. No big plans, as i am heading to st Louis this weekend to shoot a match. Well half a match. Im going to shoot the 100 yard even on Saturday but then i have to come home, as i promised the girls several weeks ago we would go to the pumpkin patches around the area this Sunday. Anyway please enjoy! Lee

Skeet,
You're truly blessed. Enjoy them, they grow up too fast. Then you get to start it all over with grandsons! :)
Regards, Ron

I lost my wife this year - I cannot tell you just how lucky you are to have such a great family.

I did not fully appreciate my wife as much as I should unitl she was gone.

Your a lucky man and also a smart one. Alot of men don't realize what they have until they've lost it. My wife and I have been together 37 years and life could not of possibly been better.
My father told me once that I was a better judge of character than my wife. When I ask what he ment he replied" LOOK WHO YOU MARRIED AND THEN LOOK AT WHO SHE MARRIED"

thank you fellas. I just wanted to give you guys a glimps of who i really am. I know i talk a lot and ask a lot of questions and my mind runs about 200 MPH most days, but i am a good fella with good values. I enjoy this sport mostly i think because of the people who are involved in it. I like nice rifles and i enjoy shooting and learning about them. I dont make it to very many shoots because of my girls being so young and there is always something going on, but i enjoy it! I just wanted to share this with you fellas!! Thabnks for all the help over the last few years. i really do apprecite it! Lee

Skeet, you are blessed. Although I am not as OLD as Butch, I have been married to my first wife for 44 years. May God bless you and the girls. James

Skeetey, you better start..................

takin' those little girls shooting!! Get them to help loading, and packing up to go, too.
They are the perfect age to start, you turn around, and they'll be gone..............
It happens right before your eyes.

Good Luck!

Great Family.

I hear ya. I am having a hard time getting them involved. There mom pretty much has them what i call girlyfied!! My oldest (silvey) does help me load, or at least she likes to hang out down in my loading room with me. They are into cloths fashion and all that other girl stuff. I havent given up yet though!! My youngest (ginger) told me the other day that she thinks she needs a pocket gun. I asked her what a pocket gun was and she said, "oh it just a little gun, made more my size" she then said that we could probably find one at wal-mart. I laughed about that all day. So who knows maybe my youngest will someday want to hang out with dad at the range.
No shoot for me this weekend. I got asked to work some overtime at the city clean up tomorrow and since i spent last weekend in the hospital with pneumonia i had to take the work. I still get to go pumpkin patching on Sunday, so it not all lost. I was only going to get to shoot one day anyway. the nationals are next weekend so maybe i can go down for that one. Lee

Congratulations Skeet on your Anniversary. You have 2 little Princesses there. Enjoy the moment and share as much as you can with them. I do wish I had been with mine more when she was younger but now that I have a teenager things are a bit different around here. Finding that soulmate that was there for you when needed is a gift, a very special one at that.

All the best.

Calvin

Lee, You have something I missed in my life. A bachelor frend of my age and I were talking about regrets the other day. I said I had only one. He asked what it was and I told him not having been able to have a successful relationship with a woman and he said he had the same one. You are indeed blessed.

Again, thanks fellas for all the kind words. I really appreciate that. I am very happy to have been with the same fine women this long in my life. I dont know how i got so lucky but i certainly did. She never gives me any grief over my shooting. She knows how much i enjoy it, and she has been a part of my success with it (shotgunning so far) I have had several minor major accomplishments along the way, and she has always been there. I no longer travel and do the shotgun thing mostly because of the children. My wife says i am a home body, and she is probably right. I enjoy being home and close to my girls. I have grown to enjoy this hole rifle buisness so much more than any other shooting disciplines i have been involved with. I think one of the major reasons is the fine people i have met, and made friends with. I enjoy the weekly phone conversations i have with a few of the members here, and i enjoy the people i meet at the shoots, and while buying and selling rifle stuff. I sometimes feel like i talk to much, or ask to many questions, and i probably do, but like i said i just simply enjoy this stuff. I wanted to let you guys see a small part of my life, so you would all know who the guy is that talks to much! LOL!! We had a nice weekend, all of us. I didnt end up going down to st Louis for the shoot, but it worked out for the best. We went to three pumpkin patches, the movies and out to eat twice. We live close to Amish country so the hole pumpkin patch thing is a pretty neat event. the patches are right in the middle of Amish country. We ate fried chicken at the Amish restaurant, we drank home made cider, and enjoyed homemade ice cream. We had fun!! My buddy Jim went on down to the shoot so he kept me informed with text messages, so i didnt miss a hole lot. I did miss out on 10 pounds of 8208 lot number 4736, but that was because i didnt have 240 bucks to spend on it this week. i wish i could have. I tried to get half of it, but no go!! I also received my new defiance bench-rest action on Saturday and i must say it is pretty darn nice. real tight and clean. I would highly recommend one. anyway thanks again for the kind words. i really wasnt expecting that, but it made me feel good, so again thank you!! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Back to the grind for another 5 days!! Lee

Skeet,

I've followed your posts with interest but never left a comment............until now.

It is a great thing to be able to feel free enough to "bare" ones self to others that you share a 'board with and to share your most intimate thoughts about your loved ones with those that frequent these boards. It's also great to put a face to a name. Your willingness to open yourself up to your "comrades" says much about you. I am proud to know you and consider you as a friend.

May life treat you and yours well!

Sincerely,
Mark Van Beek, aka LngRng.
