    Case Forming & Annealing Question

I was om board until you said "some Lapua brass is junk".. I've been shooting Lapua brass in many different calibers and have never experienced ANY Lapua brass being "junk". some batches are better than others but cost per piece aside... I will take Lapua brass 100% of the time over any other...

    6.5 wssm & rl17 ?

Interesting! That chart shows the same amount of RL17 in the 6.5 WSSM gives the same velocity as in the 260 Rem with the same amount of 17. Chris

    260 remington

RL17 will get you the most velocity with 139-142 bullets. I know shooters who achieved between 3000-3050 with RL17 in a Standard 260 with no pressure signs. BBLS were 28" if I remember correctly. DON"T quote me, but if I remember correctly, they were using approx. 45 grains of RL17. I need to...

    6.5 wssm & rl17 ?

Has anyone tried this combo yet? I have heard 4350 and 4831 work well. RL17 burn rate is between the 2 and I thought it may work well like it does in the 284 Winchester which also likes RL17 for extra velocity over the other 2 powders. Thanks, Chris

243 Winchester TO 243AI ? Is it worth while?

The beauty of the 243 AI is that you will almost NEVER need to trim brass. No sticky bolt issues with higher pressure loads too. The rechambering was well worth it to me.

    Caliber Choice

300 WSM in light gun? That's not a lot of fun. I would con, 6-6.5x47 Lapua, 6 dasher, or even a 6.5x47 Lapua. With the new RL17 powder, you can get 6.5-284 Velocity 2900+from the 6.5x47 with much better bbl life.

    6.5 Creedmoor

I shoot Highpower and aside from 223 shooters and a VERY FEW others...everyone handloads. There are a FEW who buy Tubb 6xc, but they are FEW and Far between. Really...I shot a 260 short(22-250 length), 6.5-250, 260 NMC, 6.5xc and a host of other short 6.5mm cartridges. i found that they all...

    6.5 Creedmoor

The factory ammo is nice if you don't mind paying $1.20 a round plus shipping. Chris

    CM barrel accuracy

The Most accurate bbl I ever owned was a Wilson 6mm/243 CM heavy bbl on a Tikka 595. I have owned MANY, MANY rifles and custom bbls, but this was the most accurate. 200 yard 1/4" groups were normal. Sometimes they opened up to just under 1/2". I know this was probably just a lucky bbl, but it...

    6.5 Creedmoor

I am pretty sure one could fashion a 6.5 Creedmoor case from 22-250 or 250 savage brass. I looked at the case specs and it seems pretty doable. That being said..@ $65/100 for brass and only 1 source for the brass, I am not sure why anyone would go with the 6.5 Creedmoor over a 6.5x47 Lapua. I...

Which Calibre is Easiest on Barrels?

You can shoot 115/6mm bullets from a 6CM or a 6x47 Lapua or about 20 other 6mm cartridges and get 2500-3500 rounds. My 6.5x47 Lapua with 130 gr bullets will comes close to 3000 fps and with 3000+ rounds fired, the bbl still shoots very well. Chris
