H322 works the best for me.

I've run into this before and was not successful - so I typically use the length data from the reloading book. Not saying that this is the best solution, but it has worked for me in several A.I. chambered rifles.

Certainly, the 7mm (280) has the advantage of extensive bullet selection. We have two 280 Ackley Improved rifles and are very happy with the ballistics.

Many years ago, we had a few problem firearms... one of them being a Browning BT-99. Oil them one day and find fine rust just a couple days later. I must have tried virtually everything. Someone gave me what I think was LPS-1. It was a light colored and very thin oil that had great creep...

I typically go to WalMart and buy a Remington 700 Rifle for $399. There may even be a Remington mail-in rebate going on right now. Sell the stock and the barrel. Then buy a new barrel and have it chambered for whatever you want.

I have an old Model 96 that I cut up, drilled and tapped. Screwed on a 50's vintage Husqvarna surplus military "stepped" barrel and cut it to 24". Timney trigger and topped with a Redfield 3x-9x-50. Pretty good rifle. It's the one that gets loaned out when someone needs a deer rifle...

Stop tempting me !!! I have several hundred 6.5x55 brand new Lapua brass just sitting on the shelf and two sets of dies. Not to mention the assortment of 6.5 bullets doing nothing but getting lonely.

Yes, way too spooky. Every year, I work a gun shop starting about three weeks before deer season because of the "rush". Enough said.
