    Off eye block

    and the type of blocker you are describing can be done w/ black construction paper and electrical tape. I know of a very good shooter who put a piece of Magic Transparent tape (frosted finish) over the optical "center" of his off eye to do the same thing.

    The biggest reason is that we are NOT shooting at the dot/crosshair aim point. We form the group at some point away from that junction. Imagine the vertical tangent to the left of the mothball and the horizontal tangent to the top. Or the Vertical centered in the mothball and the horizontal...

    Sleeved action removal

    The oven process makes a lot more sense. 300 degrees is no where near enough temp to hurt any metal tempers, but it will break down any epoxy bond after 1 hour. heat the action and sleeve, screw on a barrel stub and strike it out. Would be my process. David

    David, You are only accurate as far as IBS is concerned. The change in the NBRSA, from a few years ago, allows ANY caliber in Sporter, as well as any foreend width, as long as the rifle and scope come in at 10.5# or less. David
