Ground tool for bolt face clean up

I plan on grinding some HSS for the cleaning up of Rem 700 bolt faces, and was wondering if any of you guys could post some pics of the ones you have custom ground. I appreciate any responses and pics. Thanks!

    Question for those that do

I sure like the ability of being able to cut variety of threads with the partial profile insert. Cheaper is good for me..

What tool for centering up action in jig?

Thanks for the honest reply. I have not seen the difference in a "hunting" rifle between the two methods, but agree on the single point method being the best way to true up a action in regards to the receiver thread relationship with the center of the raceway. Soooo many variables in this game...

    PT&G mandrel specs

I have all the bushings, taps, cutters and etc..from Kiff. I prefer to single pointing everything over the other way. I was just wondering on the specs of the mandrel, is it basically just a piece of drill rod turned, ground and polished to tighter than normal spec +.000/-.001 per foot? What...

Jackie, Don't know if it's true but I heard that the newest brass is not going to be the norm, and that it will go back to the original specs as far as the neck thickness??

6mmBR using lapua brass what neck size and any other tips using 105 VLD Bergers ?

I would go .272 neck, sometimes the .271 could be a little tight on certain lots of Lapua brass. Maybe Mike Bryant will chime in, I know he has a reamer with a .271 neck (or maybe he usue a .271 neck reamer after chambering with a tight neck chamber reamer)

    Rem 700: pinning recoil lugs...

Mike, Thanks to you, I check ALL of my bedding jobs with an indicator. It will definitely point out a stress problem that otherwise would be pretty undetectable without.

    Threading question

There are guys on here with a lot more experience than me, but using the cross slide at zero and feeding with the compound works for a real nice thread fit. I really like good sharp HSS (http://www.arwarnerco.com/) for a beautiful CUT with no inclusions or burrs. Mikes products are really...

    Kroil

Kroil is simply a very good penetrating oil. It creeps very well. It does not dissolve anything, but does get under everything and helps lift the carbon and etc. to ease in cleaning.

    I need a little help................................

Ditto on the brake with a young hunter. He fires that rifle once without proper hearing protection he is liable to want nothing to do with a rifle for a long time. Even worse is the damage done to his hearing. IMO, reduced factory loads or maybe you know somebody that could work up a mild load...
