    40x Vs. Cooper

Any22 Damnnnnnnnnnnnnn. 3s all day long with a pre 64 winchester. And 270 cal to boot. The only thing that could be better is a fly splat 1 inch from your group. LOL. Read a post in here where a guy said if a hunting rifle could group under an inch it was exceptional, well I have 4 of em that...

    40x Vs. Cooper

Yup OK, I can tell that some of what I said was misconstrued. I have absolutely nothing against the way that Jackie or Varmint Guy did their posts. As I said they stated the facts, were well thought out, and generrally passed on some useful information. At the end of my second paragraph I...

    40x Vs. Cooper

Cooper I have found this thread to be very interesting. I own a cooper, also own Rems, rugers, and winchesters. Most on here have complained about the triggers on the coopers, Mine was no diffrent, but a good smith took care of that just like he took care of the flaws in my other rifles. Are...

    Ruger .380 lcp.

380 acp Sorry, dont own a Ruger LCP but own lots of other Ruger handguns and they are well built and dependable. The 90 Hornady XTP loaded to around 1000 FPS works real well in my Walther PPKS, accuracy is excellent, no jams, fail to feeds or stove pipes, its a great little cartridge.

    RSAUM and WSM brass construction.

Brass construction Bresk, I would tend to agree with your friend. While I could find no certain specifics as to the case construction, I do know that for a handgun that is designated +P such as 45ACP +P, and 38 Super +P the brass is stated to have a much thicker web and head thereby allowing...

    Question for the Old Boys

    What Caliber?????????????

Long throat Rugers Hey I have to agree, 1800 rounds is nothing. I have a Ruger M77 Varmint in 243 caliber that has 7500 rounds through it and it still shoots good. Ruger has always been known to have a little longer throat due to the fact that they sell all over the world. A longer throat means...

    Accolades For An Old Swift.

congrats Well done Murphy. Sounds like you got a good ruger. I noticed by your post that you got alot better results using 53 gr, and ww760. I personally have gotten my best results using 52 gr match, and either H380 or Varget. The powder you were using H4198 might be a little on the fast side...

    Re#22 vs 25-06 well what about 6x284

Re 22 Should work good, case capacity is about the same as the 06, and from other reloading sources it seems like a good fit

what power does federal use for 25-06

Powder Federal is known to use RL 22 for the 100 to 120 grs, and RL 15 for the lighter ones. Also Cooper Arms uses RL 22 in their 25.06s. My personal experience is that RL 22 works great in both of my 25.06s. Both rifles will put 5 shots under an inch @100 yds using it with 110 Accubonds, or...

    Which Reticle is best?

Crosshairs Murphy speaking in general terms, Fine X works great on target shooting and Pdogs, to coyotes in the open, and good light, The target dot would be just about the same except that at 200 yards and beyond it will tend to cover more of the target which will make it a little more...
