    Lining Up A Farley

Velcro is even more simple:eek: I started using superfeets under my farley rest last year, and it made the moving of the rest much easier. The main thing is to make sure that the rest is perpendicular to the end of the stock (or square to the fore arm). If not, you can forget to have any sort...

    Lining Up A Farley

Glue a small magnet in place on the front stop (Bore a hole in the delrin and glue in a strong earth magnet). Then take another magnet, bore a hole thru it (or buy one with a hole in it), and attach a string to the magnet. When setting up, just join the two magnets and use the string to align...

Bullet Making (originally owned by Stephen Perry)

Thank you Garry for your answer, Amazing that some people do it as a living, and still gets food on the table;):D Is 8-10h as fast as possible while maintaining BR quality? Or could it be done faster if you were more efficient? If you were to optimize your production, would it still take 8-10h...

    neck tension and time

Brass will get a harder "neck tension" (force needed to seat the bullet) if left in air for some time. If you size brass one weekend, and then seat bullets the weekend after, you will experience a increased force needed to seat the bullet. I have always thought that oxidation of the brass was...

    Stock Help

Alinwa, Thank you for the correction on the LOP. But, are you 100% sure that the 18" mark should be at the centerline, and not the underside of the barrel? If you check the NBRSA drawing it clearly states the underside of the barrel?! IBS on the other hand has written that the line/angle...

    Stock Help

At 13,5" LOP (I thinkt, not 100% sure), find a point 4" below the centerline of the barrel/action. Then, find the point 18" ahead of the boltface, on the underside of the barrel. Now you have two points. Draw a line between the points, and you have the lowest legal angle of the buttstock. Your...

    Excessive headspace

Excessive headspace as in a chamber being .005" to long, or as in a cartrige being .005" shorter than the chamber? As long as you don´t push the shoulders back to much, it won´t matter that the chamber is cut .005" past a no-go gage. Having .005" clearance in the chamber sure isn´t good, but it...

    High pressure - LOW velocity

I have shoot quite a bit of heavy loads in several different actions, and have never had a case head look lite those in the picture. It looks like severe expansion in the base. My guess is bad powder. Maybe you have dumped powder in the wrong container?

    BAt Action???

The force from the spring can´t be adjusted. What you can adjust is the fireing pin drop (switching the trigger hanger around), and the position on the sear engagement piece on the fireing pin. Neighter one will have any great affect on the striking force. Measure the force it takes to compress...
