    Question regarding Picatinny rail install

Remount the scope to the rifle using a rail with zero cant. Sight in rifle at 100 yards and see how much verticle adjustment you have left. IF you need more travel to reach the range you want to shoot THEN you can decide how much cant you need in the rail. For example, I've had a Sightron 36X...

Dwight a couple of things... I belong to three gun clubs, shoot at another four plus a military installation. All of them REQUIRE saftey glasses be used while on the range. My situation, I show up at the range an hour before the "official" time to open the gate. Then my counterpart and I...

    Laser for setting flags

Charlie I've been a glaucoma suspect my entire adult life. The eye pressures have remained untreated because the battery of tests I go through have shown no damage has been done to my vision at this point. I use laser alignment equipment at work and have used a laser to set my flags the past two...

Other than a discoloring issue are there any reported situations that state vision damage?

    Laser for setting flags

Vern it's pretty obvious you have an agenda and are more than willing to spin results in favor of you ideas. There's a world of difference between a pilot shooting an approach at night and being temporarily blinded by a laser (any bright flash of light will destroy your night vision for a short...

    Laser for setting flags

Yes, I've read the link. The doctor states the area's of damage (pigmitation) had a 5 minute and a 15 minute exposure level. There was no actual damage done to the victim's visual aquity. The doctor also stated that normal human reflex would prevent someone from recieving damage to their eyes...

Ummmm................... Wrong assumption. My buddy is an RN, he has control of the laser settings as the doctor is preforming medical proceedures.

    Laser for setting flags

Problem is, that doctor's report doesn't give the distance from the laser to the eye.... Had a conversation with someone who ACTUALLY uses a laser in the medical profession. He considered them safe enough that he wanted one for his personal use. From my experience you might see the same effect...

Bullet rotation speed on hunting bullets???

Had a "friend" tell me that you don't have to actually hit something with a 750gr .50 cal bullet, the shockwave off the bullet is enough to implode someone's head if it passes by close enough. Sad thing is this idiot also owns a Barrett... Another friend who's a ballistic missile designer...

    Help me out here.

That isn't true. In F-Open the rifle's maximum weight is 22lbs. If a bipod is attached it counts towards the weight. If shooting off of a rest the rifle's maximum weight is still 22lbs.

    Help me out here.

Joe, Maybe we could get Wilber to set up some kind of interactive map. Flags to represent the ranges in each state that hold Benchrest matches. You hover your cursor over the flag and the range name, location and schedule pop up on screen. Are you listening Wilber??? :D

    Reading Group Shape

If your intentions are to shoot out to 1000 yards, skip the 100 yard load development and move out to 300 yards. ;)

Well, My Targets Did Not Survive the Scrutiny of the Official Scorers

Jerry it is as simple as engraving the template on the group measuring device for a 6.5mm bullet hole. I replaced the template on my measuring tool with one that I added a 6.5mm and a 7mm ring.

Skip the rail, watch how the objective end of the scope flexes!!!! While back there was a show on tv where one of the .50 manufacture's wife plus two other women were firing .50's at Raton. One of the ladys was say a plus size. When she fired the .50 you could see the recoil start in her...
