    ejector marks

Thanks guys... I kinda figgered it was time to back down a bit. I was not aware that there could be that much of a pressure difference between similar guns with similar charges. paul

    ejector marks

I was testing some of the IMR 8208 this weekend in my Stolle Panda 6ppc, and noticed that at 30.5gr I was just starting to see some bright spots on the case head made by the ejector. I can see no other signs of excess pressure on these cases. The VV133 load that I’ve been using was / is 29.2gr...

    Charge Master 1500

Johnnie Probably a dumb question... Have you leveled in 2 directions, as well as calibrated and zero'ed the scale prior to use? Also, what weight are you throwing?, a light charge? paul

    new 8208

Stephen I've got 31.2gr of the new 8208 powder in my standard 6ppc cases. 31.2gr in my cases, using a drop tube ( that I put together myself ) that is about 15 inches long, is just about half way up the neck. paul

    Cleaning receiver locking lug area

When you’ve removed the barrel from a receiver that’s glued into a finished ( painted ) stock, what’s the safest way to clean the receiver threads and bolt locking lug area? I’m trying my best not to mess up the paint job on the stock… so I’m not sure if I want to use a liquid or just a long dry...

    weaver vs sightron 36

I agree with Greg - a 36x just might be a bit too much. I have a 17 Rem FB with a Sightron 6 x 24 x 42 that is just excellent. I'd give you some prairie dogs as reference, but they ain't talkin'. paul

    Milled trigger guard for 03A3?

Zeke Only Remington and Smith Corona made the 03a3. The triggerguard for the 03A3 from either of the manufacturers was stamped. If you are looking for a correct triggerguard for the 03A3 - I have both manufacturers. If you do in fact want a milled TG - that would be for a Springfield, Rock...

    Bullet pulling

If they're not coming out with the impact hammer, you have to seat them a bit deeper ( as Boyd said ) to break the seal... However, depending on how they were stored, and if they've been in there long enough, sometimes they just won't come out with any tool.

Posting pictures of game - yes or no

I think it’s a great choice not to include pics of the harvested amimals. I no longer hunt, not for any particular reason – other than shooting prairie dogs once or twice a year on trips out west. Plenty of sites to show those pics, as well as any others of hunted animals…. But this is a site...

    I just can’t do it…

For me, it’s a matter of time(ing)… meaning if I aim and shoot without having both eyes open, it takes me too much time to get on target, than wait for the flags to position themselves where I would like them, than go back to the scope to check the point of aim, than to set off the trigger…...
