Considering rebarreling my Savage 12 target in .243 to 6.5 creed, easily doable?

More drop, less energy. Enough people care that there are a number of higher speed rounds.

    turning mandrels from rebar

This was a 60Co source. There is no naturally occurring 60Co High energy gamma rays https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobalt-60 There are other incidents around the world.

    turning mandrels from rebar

The closer you get to Mexico the more varied the rebar becomes. A few years ago a radioactive source was melted into a batch of steel and used to make rebar. A radiation alarm went off when the truck pulled into a US lab facility, as opposed to leaving.

    MechForce barrel vice

Factory barrels often have an interference fit on the last few threads. The first time you take one off the force is often high. after that it is more 'reasonable.' I have a speed driver that you can use a torque wrench on for tightening things up. I usually use a strip of very fine (a couple...

    Electronic targets:

It was an attempt to make it clear for the less technically informed. mHz is a far more serious error. Only off by about 12 orders of magnitude. 10^6 to 10^-6.

    MechForce barrel vice

Nitrogen in a dip tube tank is even better. The output is liquid nitrogen. The Mech Force clamp is a "Davidson type" clamp. They work very well if you have a stout enough surface to clamp them onto.

    MechForce barrel vice

Could not find a link to "MechForce barrel vice." Try a Davidson barrel vice. Use of V blocks eliminates precision sizing. https://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/vises-accessories/barrel-vises/barrel-vise-prod36757.aspx Some very fine wet or dry paper will...

"LoRa 900mhz RF to the firing line (433mhz in Europe)." I really doubt he means "Milli Hertz" as he has written. 0.9 Hz. MHz (Mega, millions) is most likely. 900 Million Hz (cycles) per second. Such a simple error tends to call into question all of his other specifications.

    bonding/gluing aluminum

The convenience of an air borne industrial setting and dry ice water vapor removal is not to be underestimated. We used enough compressed air daily to justify the delivery of 100 pounds of dry ice. Two 10 in. x 10in. x 10 in. cubes. They went in very large tank after being generously broken up...

    bonding/gluing aluminum

We grit blasted a spot about 1.1 inch x 1.1 inch to attach a 1.0 inch x 1.0 inch cable tie anchor. We had little patches to stick down and then blasted at 90 degrees for few seconds. Use a single edge razor blade to remove the 'frame.' The strength of every batch of epoxy was tested to verify...

A couple of questions after cleaning Benchrest guns

I think a lot of it depends on how dirty is 'dirty' and probably how smooth the bore actually is. Even a few shots may be laying down a layer of copper from bullet jackets to further smooth the walls of the bore. After 20 to 30 shots I can start to see spreading at longer ranges with my varmint...
