    UV or CPL filter

The reason I asked is because I have a cheaper Weaver Classic 8x32 scope made in the Philippines that according to Weaver, "wasn't designed for a sunshade". I have trouble with glare on the front lens in the afternoon. So I figured out that the thread in the front is a 52mm and bought a camera...

Deep bore with mini boring bar

In the meantime, try taking a piece of 3/8" or 1/2" round stock about the length of the spacing of 2 of the set screws on your tool block plus 1 1/4" and drilling a hole for the bar to side neatly into. Split the stock lengthwise on 1 side with a hacksaw so that when you clamp it the sleeve...

    Benchmark & H335

3031 has worked well for me in a few medium sized case like the 308, 7-08 and 243 for lighter weight bullets. Looking at the velocities in the data I found for the 6BR, which isn't much, it gives up a little speed, but if the accuracy is there, I'm willing to give up the 100fps. Nosler lists...

Deep bore with mini boring bar

You can do that if you have the room. If it will be tight space wise, set your round stock up in a V block in the mill and drill the hole off center. put a couple of set screw holes in the thick side and put the whole thing in the tool block on the lathe oriented with the bar to the side where...

    Benchmark & H335

I'm wanting to load the 6BR with 70 grainers with H335. I have data for Benchmark but not H335. According to Hodgdon, H335 is the next slowest powder under Benchmark on the burn rate list. Can I use the Benchmark data?

Lathe Feed Chart Vs Threading Chart

If I'm understanding you correctly......look at the feed chart on the machine. The note at the top says "42 & 21" are mounted initially and should correspond to the chart on the machine.

    Co-Axial Muzzle Alignment

Pete maybe one groove was slightly deeper then the rest. Has anyone ever indicated the lands and then checked the grooves to find out that they aren't exactly concentric? If they were, there would never be a debate as to indicate on the lands or the grooves.;) Which brings up another...

    Muzzle Brakes and Harmonics

When you put the barrel back up in the lathe, indicate the bore just behind the crown and then as far back as your indicator will reach. Make sure both places run true. At that point, indicate the shoulder where the brake seats at the end of the threads for perpendicularity. Then reinstall the...
