Anyone have any ideas why my first two to five shots impact high pefore the rifle settels down and begins to shoot, generally around 2.5 inch groups at 600.
This happens each time I fire, even on the same day during a 3 or 4 match shoot.
Seems like the rifle just will not settle down until it warms up.

Chuck.

I've had it done to my CM barrels, seems to help.....that is when it's not the loose nut behide the butt plate!

Try getting a tad rough putting your rear bag down, then jam your stock into it with a bit of force. Unless it's properly in position, you can have issues until things setlle - and it doesn't take much irregularity on the mound to become an issue.

I've found donut bags under your main bag help in this regard.
