if anybody has one laying around that didnt work into their methods I'd love to buy it- if not I was gonna just get a new one.
 
PTG has some good ideas that work well. I have one of these and the only problem is that you need to check the fit of all the threads before you use it. If there are any problems lap the threads to be sure they work okay. I had some problems and a bit of lapping solved the problems.
 
I think it was Nat that came up with the idea. PTG just makes them. Very nice product and I will eventually get one...
 
I see a lot of folks talking highly of this product, but to be real honest. I just don't see a need for it. I don't ever have any trouble hitting my desired Headspace. lee
 
I have one on each of the reamers I use all the time. Useing it and the hi pressure flush system, I can chamber 10 Universal Receiver barrels a day, all to the exact same HS dimension.

I didn't see the need for one either...I always got what I wanted.

Then I bought one and kicked myself in the tail for not getting it sooner.

Its saves so much time that there is no comparison. If you can get one...I highly recommend it.

When Dave Kiff and I came out with the Micrometer Adjustable Reamer Stop, we had a few say "It is too expensive", "I will make my own", "I don't need it, I use a the hand wheel with a dial indicator or a DRO". First, we have never forced anyone to buy one of these tools. We have sold over 2000 sets. We have replaced a few parts, but no one has ever asked for their money back or stated they were dissatisfied after buying one. The only people who have bitched and whined have never used one. The BRC web site has always had reputation as a bunch of great shooters, who are critical about everything. The name of the game is perfect shooting and in the real world there is the "Ideal and the Absolute". I hope everyone shoots "Xs", 10s, and tight groups, but we know that is not always going to happen.
