wrong ammo

i read jackies thread on wrong powders blowing up guns. i did a careless thing 12 years ago. another thing thats dangerous and can happen when you have multible guns in different calibers at the range is mixing up ammo. careless mistake, i put a 2506 into a 7mm mag rifle. it fired, and blew the case , split it longways, and put 14 splinters of brass in my left eye, and 4 in my righteye. another dumb mistake, no shooting glasses. the doctor took a needle and picked them out one by one. turns out, it was a blessing, during the emergency exam, the doctor found a melonoma tumor in my left eye. he sent me out of state eye hospital, for highly specialized treatment. the accident saved my eye my vision and my life. this accident was a blessing, but it could have been disastourous. mixing ammo could happen to anybody. br
