earl:

Does it, by chance, look like a Win 52 trigger..?? If so, it was probably a Winchester 52 that was modified by Selby Wright. Selby was an old BR-50 shooter and modified a couple of Winchester 52 triggers.. I have one in my 52-c that Shelby modified and it breaks at 2 oz. and is a beautiful trigger. I don't know if Selby ever patented it or not.. I also have a copy of Selby's instruction sheet on how he modified the triggers..

Wright trigger

Earl,

The Wright trigger was made by Henry C. Wright of Fresno, Cal.. At the very least he made triggers for the 52-B and Rem.-37. They were 3 lever triggers same basic design as modern triggers. Patent filed in 1936.
If you get a copy of "RIFLE" #81 under the heading of Rifle Patents (Target Triggers) by Otteson you can find a rather good description and adjusting instructions.

Is the trigger in an action or trigger alone?

No relation to Selby.

it's ready to go into a rem 37, housing is jeweled and i remember it said
wright and had a patent number, it's going to add a lot to the price of the 37 rem.
