Shoot to Thrill
Hello to all, I am happy to announce that I have been elected as President of The World Rimfire & Air Rifle Federation by a majorioty decision of delegate members from around the world. Carl Boswell from the UK has been elected Secretary. The rules to be used for the 2011 World Championships in Kettlefoot USA have been set & we are now forming a working comittee.
A web site will also be set up in the near future with more information. My door & mind will be open at all times, decisions & focus will be based internationally not individually & of course towards the growth of the sport. Should anyone have any questions I am happy to try & assist. I also look forward to meeting many more of you in the USA in 2011.

way to go

Congrats Bill. Just wanted to say that I believe you are the best person for the job. If I can be of any help on my end let me know.David K

Congratulations Bill & Carl !!
If I can be of any help please feel free to contact me at any time.

Out of all the people they could have chosen from they choose which are:

Old farts
Couldn’t shoot if they were sober
Are never sober
Never say hello
Never say goodbye
Have no interest in shooting
Thinks a bolt is a bottle top
Think a scope is for looking at the moon
Think a target is them selves
Think a benchrest is for sleeping on
All ways turn up late
And at the wrong location
Park in the disable bays cause they can’t read

So really they should fit right into their new jobs!

It’s a Joke!!!!

Being serious they will be great ambassadors for the federation, it has been a long road to get to this point and I know that both of them have grown a few more grey hairs since all this started. I hope that the benchrest shooters from all around the world will support them and the federation for it to grow into an organisation that will be recognised by the firearm industry and the media for what we stand for and help to promote the sport to a high level that is seen as professional group. I hope that all those that now become affiliated to the federation will help to support it, work with it and demonstrate a professional body.

Ok lads I said what you wanted me to so can I have my badge now?

It’s a Joke!!

Thanks for the congratulations guys, Andy I better clarify that we are all mates & your joke is taken light heartedly. Dave & Doug as our next World Championships will be in the USA, in 2011,we will certainly be seeking your input, we are also most thankful for your support.

Our new President kindly sent me a copy of the new world rules and I have to say that everyone that has been involved has done a great job and I don’t see any problems with any of the rules. I know it has taken a long time to get these rules agreed and finally we have something that has been agreed by the world.
The Federation is here and for the benefit of the benchrest Rimfire and Air Rifle community and maybe some people will have to make adjustment to their equipment to be able to take part in such events, but this is what we needed. I hope that UKBR22 will be affiliating to the WRABF as this would be good for the association.

Any thoughts?

Bill,
I don’t have the official list but I think the countries who at this stage have put there hand up to be part of the WRABF are Australia, Czech Republic, Germany, Holland, Italy, Malta, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom and USA.

Basically all the countries who have been apart of international rimfire BR over the last few years have signed on and that’s not a bad start.

Peter
