thanks...I just checked targets used at SDPD range from last match, and they measure same as ones I printed up at Kinko's for LD's at range Temecula,...but both are undersize,apparently..

Thanks,
Rich

I think the best place measure the target is at the outer most faint line, it should be 16.5".

Uh Oh.....I got 14 15/16"....Thanks...seems printer guy reduced size after our test sheet of 100% download...

Rich

You can print the targets on 11x17 paper by cutting off the border. Just don't reduce the size of the targets. I priced some at Office Depot for .25 per target using card stock paper.

yeah...paper was right size...I just did not watch the Kinko guy close...and he reduced it...I used their best card stock..(.38/copy)..holds up in the rain...lol

Larry,

I print on my 11x17 printer I took whole top header and Moved it from top to the side did not affect target sizes.

Is the measurements of the target on usairriflebenchrest./com when put at 100% correct? What measurement are the boxes for each bull?

Thanks,

Joe

I should say also that I'm getting my measurements from the digital file that was on the wrabf site. I print my own targets based on the image size of the file and they correspond exactly.

My first targets were printed at Fedex Office on 12X18 and were the correct size but at $40.00 /100. When I had more targets printed I went to three printers that only had 11x17 machines. All three were the wrong size. I then took a 12 X18 target and cut it down to 11 X 17 and had them copy that target. The copies were the correct size and on 86 lb card stock for $22.00 /100. So that is what I will do from now on.
If targets are printed on 11 X17 paper and you see all four light border lines the target is small.

That helps Paul...thanks for info..i have enough dimensions now to recognize error..interesting about the '11x17' machines,though..

If for some reason you clean this target -@25m's your humming.. this target could be good for 25yds.what do you think??

The scale would be pretty close at 25 yards I guess. We shot it again today at my place, and for sure nobody cleaned it at 25M!

Cold and breezy, bt wnds werent strong at all, just hard to figure as we were getting tailwinds for 30 seconds, then headwinds, plus switches from left than right.
Even so, they being mild, I thought I would do ok, but didn't. Pretty humbling, but we had a good time,

And a good potluck lunch afterwards.

I used a place called Alphagraphics and had also gone directly from the digital file to copy, but had the same undersizing problem for Pinnacle Mtn. ...which was pointed out to me at our last match and has since been corrected. Even though I had been very specific when ordering my first set I was too focused on the size of the 10 ring (2MM) which is just too small an area to be able to realize a large scale error. This time around when I explained to the copy people what had happened I was told that all copiers when working from an over sized digital files and placing the image onto 11"x17" will automatically reduce the image to fit, and there's no way to stop it. So we went with a larger copier and put the image onto 12"x18" Cover Stock with excellent results, and all for the same price of just 21¢ per sheet.

I hope this helps, and we should expect to see our scores go up with the added size of each ring. Of course, I don't know how Joe can improve on his 250 ...other than maybe shooting back-to-back 250's?

Dave...thanks for sharing your experience. I held off trying to get 'corrected' copies as I suspected more to this than the Kinko guy just printing them 'undersize'....

I found out yesterday at LD's 25 meter match that some of our 'original' undersize targets were re-copied by shooters in California,Oregon and Washington..lol

Seems Wayne from Oregon dropped by LD's and took some north to share...:D

Dave,

At first I thought we were off, we are okay on the 11"x17", the young lady at staples did a great job for us. Everything has to be right to shoot one 250, back to back 250's, now that's going to be tough , although I feel it will happen someday as shooters and equipment improve.
