Was so proud I pushed it out for a picture :)

With one hand, while talking on the phone.

I haven't installed the leveling feet yet, dunno as I'll have to!

Ennyhoo, I thought it was cool

Al, ........ Why??????

Surely you could have got the forklift in through those huge doors, or do you just want to wheel the ol' BP outside so you can do some 'al-fresco' machining on those lovely sunny Washington winter days??!!!???

D.

#1, I wanted it taller....
#2, I wanted it stable so it had to be either bolted down or set on a wide base
#3, I wanted to be able to store the vise, rotating table and indexer/tailstock center on the mo'chine so's I never again had to lift them or go get a lifting device.... I'm lazy. What you DON'T see are the flat racks being built to go behind the table, racks I can back the table up to and slide the heavies over for storage.
#4, I wanted to be able to clean under it and,
#5, I want to be able to move it WITHOUT opening the big doors. Everything in my shop is on rollers so's I can rearrange like a woman when I wants to. :) Actually, I've also got welding and wood tools and 6 roll-arounds of wood and steel up to 8ft long, all set to same work ht so if I need to work on a 40ft hunk of stock I can. Plus, every shop I've worked in has cabinets and machines set up where stuff can (WILL) roll under and get lost. I got NO/NADA/ZERO spider holes in my shop. When I drop something I roll out a clear spot and find it...... and once it's cleared I sweep the floor :)

That, and I can never make up my mind how I want stuff positioned.

LOL

Nice job Al, is your lathe on something similar?

Yes and no..... I've got the caster setup, just haven't jacked the lathe onto it yet because I've got a bunch of built-ins around the lathe setup....... I've got to bring the tractor in, slide it out into the room, install and put back.
