World Team Results

The USA for sure has won gold at both distances in LV and HV. Without the declared team information for Italy, Sporter is unclear from the results. The USA team tied on score at both distances with the top three Italian shooters and tied on x count at 50. (What's the third tie break for team competition?) The top three Italians had a higher x count at 25 but it was a different three shooters so the declared team information is needed to sort things out. I would hope that the next international competition improves a bit in putting out the scoring and results.

Don,

I know Italy won the 25m sporter teams, I can't remember if USA lost any of the others.

Peter

If Italy won 25, then I know who their team members are and they lost 50 to team USA.

I will post in the AM what I came up with for team scores.
My understanding Teams were only for the 50 Meter Unlimited.
So in the 50 Meter Unlimited (HVr50) right now we know USA has First and Italy probably has 2nd & 3rd.
Sorry but I got thrown for a loop when I found some of the scores I was using were incomplete.:(
PS Don thks for the heads up!

Don,
There was no overall result and each match was separate and not all the countries had the same team members in all of the matches.

Peter

Peter,
I have a list of teams that was sent to me. If the teams stayed the same for all the targets then I can probably do all the Rimfire matches showing these team Aggs.
If the team members changed then no way!
I will also do a couple "Un-Official" Aggs!(overall Aggs) They have a Story that should be told.
Other wise what a Great Match and I hope we will All have the were-for-all to Cross Borders / Cultures and do it for many years to come!:)

Doug, I'd be careful spending a lot of time on the teams until you have the full story, I'm pretty sure some of the names changed. From what I've been told the UK missed out on a team bronze in the 50m unlimited by one point. But what do I know, I was only on it and the events been finished for five days now.:confused:

wow what a blast

I must say what a great experience this was for me. Yea the shooting was fun and what a challenging range. But the people there to me made the trip all together a cool experience. Good competition along with good sportsmanship is what this sport should be all about. This we had on a global scale. Shooting as a team was a new thing for me and what greater team mate could there be. Thank you guys for all the helpful encouragement. I treasure the new friends we made and hope I get to see all them again someday. No matter what the outcome is with scores the 1st world championships are history and as for me I hope everyone gets the opportunity to shoot in one someday.

Thrill

David:
Just the thrill of being able to represent your home country as an individual and a team is a memorable moment. I hope that I again will have that opportunity at the next one, Lord willing.

Very interesting when u look at totals; team Australia is very happy :)

Congratulations also to our American friends Dave DJ & Craig very impressive. DJ I know you were excited about cold beer when u got home, now that I am home the best thing was my own bed & pillow especially after a 22 hour flight

Doug/Carl

Doug/Carl,

A question from a team mate, will air rifle results be also published & will they be included in grand agregrate or treated as separate to rimfire?

Andy,

Good to hear your feeling better, you weren’t too good on the last day.

You’re not the only one doing a lot of sleeping.

Peter

Hi Markus,

In looking at my photos of Peter I had the same problem with his finger, but at least you managed to get him smiling at the same time :)

It was great to meet you in person after talking for so long on this forum with you.
