I was warming up at the match progressed ... maybe another ten cards an I woulda been doin ok.

BTW, there are two classes for the event. I noticed everuone seemed to be in the HV class, so I brought my 20fpe rifle out, I had been kinda wanting to use my 12fe rifle, but it didnt seem anybody else was using one, so I caved.

Hey it was good to see ya,it was warming up some it was a close match. ten cards ? i think you could have shot both guns, i think Roger had done that befor..but i don't know who has a 12fpe gun that thy shoot at this target. you did very good with the gun you shot!! do you think you could have done better with the other ? that lube that i got from Roger has to be dry to use duh I didn't know that.so next time watch out -I'm going to be a house a fire...learning more every day. again want to thank everyone that pitched in and helped make this a great match.next week its going to be the AGBR :D target.so i had better get the lube right this time.Rich took lots of photos maybe he has one that shows the tailes on the wind flags just hanging..

I shot one target using my 12fpe rifle, while Charlene was scoring. It was just for practice, though I wold have been nice to shoot two more and turn the scores in. I had Roger score it ... 239-4X. I used a fixed 12X scope on my USFT Hunter Carbine with 19" Lothar/Walther barrel and 8.4gr JSB pellets going about 785fps.

Looks like Larry and Roger - from the photos are in the sweet spot..good shooting guys.next time Larry try that usft hunter carbine 239 4x's is not bad.

Great Scores,

Is that a famous Air Arms Custom or NJR in the first photo. I have mine on the way to Joe Korick for a tune and will try for a Heavy Varmit Score later. I have seen lots of scores from California but nut are posted on the qualification page.
Good ShootN gal and guys.

Well, as it turns out, none of our scores can be compared directly to those of most others. I was recently informed our targets are significantly undersized. I measured them and compared them against an "official" spec and now realize our targets are nearly 10% too small.

Of course, our scores against each other at the matches remain ok in relation to each other, but they shouldn't be compared directly against those that may be using the regulation size.

Bob,yes it's a custom that Tim McWorter built from the best that nick Jenkens had. that was just after the national in tumball,Tex in 1993.Tim came in 1st that year. after Tim let her shoot his gun she just had to have one just like his.shes had fun with it ever sence.Howie.

I just checked San Diego Airgunners WRABF targets from match and they are same as ones we use at LD's....so the error is on both.

Howie...where did you get yours printed...?? I used Kinko's from download via usairriflebenchrest.com

I don't recall giving you any targets .... they were bought and donated for our club by Rich, so mebbe they came from him?

Roger took sample from my batch to SD to copy...I just found out the digital download from usairiflebenchrest will NOT work on 11"x 17" copy machines....!! They must be copied on 12"x 18" copy machines..

Due to this snafu, I'm going to get corrected copies made and donate some to SD airgunners....
