World Qualifier Question

I tried calling Mike Ratigan today to answer a question on the Worlds qualifing and my director is out of town. So I have no one to answer these questions for me. I have recieved a couple of calls inquiring how they are doing the points system at Phoenix.

The question is since 60 plus people did not finish the grand agg in the one class, is the points based on the total shooters in the Grand or total shooters who started the day? In other words is there 150 points available or 90 points since 60 plus people did not finish the agg? Can anyone let me know? Does anyone one know how many people finished the Grand Agg shot Sunday afternoon. Several shooters that attended are trying to figure their point total and I believe it is based on number of shooters that completed the Grand Agg or at least that is how it was done when.

You compete against all those that begin the competition. If they shoot lousy, have an equipment malfunction, are disqualified or quit makes no difference to the end result. You still beat them and the results stand.

We had 160+ shooters who signed up to shoot the LV 200 of those 24 didn't start the LV 200. We had 135 shooters who shot some portion of the LV 200. My guess is that of those 135 there were 7-8 shooters that had 10" of penalty for either not shooting or 5 shots off the paper for a group or two. So for report purposes there were 159 shooters figured into the grand. How points are awarded is up to the new World Team Captain.

Heavy Varmint had 150+ start and finish both yardages.
