Is the wind getting worse now days or is it just me, it feels like it never stops blowing....

must be global warming. :eek:
 
It is a conspiracy. I've noticed that on work days conditions are dry and calm. On weekends it's rainy and/or windy.
 
Get serious about flying kites as a hobby and the wind will stop dead.

But, truthfully I have to agree with you - it seems to be blowing more now that we are shooting 600 and 1000 yard matches.

The wind blows here most of the time, but if it looks calm at the house all I have to do to get it howling is to load up and head for the range 12 miles north of my house. Sometimes it'll even stay pretty calm until I get my stuff unloaded and ready to shoot. It's also usually calm during a cease fire....

We are being tested ladies and gentlemen, and I'm failing too. :eek:
 
If the wind here in Wyoming ever quit blowing, I would fall over.

We measure the wind here by the foot, how far it will push a 10 lb rock

Wind in the Houston area has not even been reasonable to shoot in for 2 months.:D
 
Winds

That very question was e-mailed to a local TV weatherman about 4 days ago relating to winds here in southwest Ohio over the past six months. His answer was that during an El Nino winter which we just had the winds are almost always stronger and more frequent. His review of weather records from Oct '08 thru this week show that to be the case this past several months.
 
It seems like the wind has been blowing almost everyday for the last 6 weeks here in north Texas. Some days we have had gust of wind up to 45mph.

The same thought has crossed my mind many times in the last couple years, and yet people keep setting new records so I guess it's all in our minds.
