Has anyone here used the Orlando Folding Wind Indicators with the new turbine top? If so I would like to hear what you think of them and what size you used.

I have been using a 18" for a few weeks now and it has not been of any use. The turbine top doesn't spin unless you have enough wind to blow a rimfire bullet out to the seven ring on a IR50 target and the arm doesn't move unless the turbine top spins. There is alot of weight on the bottom of the arm that I think needs to be made adjustable (at the range for the conditions) and the turbine top may need to be replaced with a foam ball or something to catch the wind better not to mention the pivots are pretty crude. I would look at the other (cheap) ones made in Texas. Keeney's I think.

This information is very useful and thanks. I should have put a few qualifiers in my original post and they are.... I would like to purchase 2 indicators and my budget will allow about $100 each and they need to be reasonably durable. I tend to be a little rough with my stuff at times.
I would also like to see this thread discuss the part of different indicators that folkes like and dislike.
Here are some things that I think intrest me......
1) attach to any pole (mine or a friends)
2) fold down for transport and storage
3) made of something other than coroplast, maybe plastic

I built my own after seeing how pathetically slow everyone else's indicators are.
You can also build your own and have something very superior to any of the others. Mine will go from 0-90 degrees and back before the others will even start moving. It's calibrated to 15 mph at 90 degrees. Shows updrafts as well.
It also mounts to your flag stand. Built them over a month ago and love them more than chocolate.
The only downside is it is light, which means it is NOT for hamfisted users. This was/is my main reason for not offering them for sale.

I purchased a medium and a large. The combo was $185 including shipping.
They will attach to many poles. Not sure about *any* pole. Also, the turbine is large enough that it must be above the top of my pole.
The turbine version does fold nicely.
It is, however, made largely of coroplast.
