Does anyone know if a Winchester 100 replacement sporter/original taper, air gaged barrel in .308 or .243 can be manufactured. I have several complete barreled actions, including gas blocks for parts, if necessary. If yes could anyone advise me with a source and or a estimated rough cost? Ya Ya I know, why would someone want to do this?:) Thanks again.

One of my childhood mentors had one of those. I wish i coulda got it when he died. I loved that gun and get sad every time i think about it.

I`ve got a good one I`ll sell ya...... .308

I was hoping some barrel co. could make a new more accurate one if I provided the gas block or other parts. However what is the condition of the bore and what is the blueing condition. Is it barrel only or barrel on striped receiver. BTW you wouldn't know where a 243 might be? Whats you got to have for it? Thanks

I bet you could get with one of those 7400 barrel guys and get one done. Or a gunsmith that chambers the encore/single shot barrels. I know the 7400 guys weld blocks on good barrels and have pretty good success

Parts Gun

I've got a carbine that the action came apart & destroyed the stock. The barrel is in great shape & was a decent shooter. If interested pm me. That goes for anyone else too for that matter.

I did one once, it was a little tedious, but not too bad. Milling in the flat for the location of the gas block is pretty critical though. THe originals were soldered in the dovetail, I don't remember if I did so, or just peened the dovetail some, but it functioned fine and shot well. The Win 70 featherweight barrels are the same contour and can be modified to work (that's what I did).
