Winchester 52 Bench Rifle Value?

Hi folks. I haven't been on this board for a while, so please give me a little slack.

My B-I-L owns the Winchester 52C that I shot in competition with for several years and he's moving away and wants to sell his guns. I'm trying to put a value on the Winnie and would like to know what would be a good price to set.

It has an unblued (waxed), Shilen barrel with a Fudd Tuner, a blue McMillan benchrest stock, a Canjar 3 ounce trigger, and a Weaver T36. The barrel was installed by Butch Hongisto and has probably seen about 10,000 rounds, but he told me that, unlike stainless barrels, a CM barrel could go well over a hundred thousand rounds before losing accuracy.) I used the rifle to win a few club championships, so it shoots very well.

I put at least $1,400 in the rifle alone and the scope was over $300, but I'm thinking maybe it should be worth at least $1,100. What do you folks think?

Thanks Fred. I'll post it in the Classifieds in a day or so.

Wow! I posted the 52C early this morning and sold it within a couple of hours. That's almost unbelievable. My B.I.L is very happy. He can use the money, as he's selling his house and moving down-state.
